In today’s rapidly evolving digital era, my major in English literature is no longer limited to
traditional career paths such as teaching or academic research. These developments have
opened up even broader opportunities for students to explore careers that combine language
skills with digital creativity. In this context, I have chosen to pursue a career as a Content
Writer, while also developing myself as an educational content creator focused on discussing
slang and everyday expressions in English.
The reason I chose this profession is that writing is one of the ways I express ideas clearly and
creatively. As an English Literature student, I have studied various aspects of language such as
grammar, text analysis, and meaning comprehension, which form an essential foundation in
the world of content writing. However, I do not want to limit myself to formal writing alone. I
am also interested in making language learning more accessible and relevant, especially for the
younger generation who are more familiar with digital media such as social media. Therefore,
combining content writing with content creation is the right approach to not only convey
information but also build engagement with the audience.
This career choice also reflects my identity in the digital world as someone who can bridge the

thereby reducing the need for basic writing tasks. Nevertheless, there are skills that cannot be
fully replaced by AI, such as creativity, an understanding of cultural context, and the ability to
build emotional connections with the audience. In this regard, interpreting slang from films and
translating it into Indonesian that fits the social context requires deep understanding, a skill that
remains a human strength.
To remain relevant in the digital age, I need to continuously develop my skills, both technically
and creatively. This includes improving my writing skills, understanding audience behavior,
mastering digital marketing strategies, and developing skills in creating visual content such as
video editing. Additionally, consistency and authenticity are also key factors in building
audience trust.
In building my personal brand, I want to be known as an educational content creator who can

main platforms I will use are Instagram and TikTok, as they are widely used by my target
